Information you provide directly

• Account details: full name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
• Delivery addresses: street address, city, and state for order fulfilment.
• Payment information: transaction references processed by our payment providers (Paystack, Flutterwave, Monnify). We never store card numbers or bank details on our servers.
• Vendor information: business name, bank account details for payouts, and product listings.
• Thrift plan details: chosen product, payment schedule, and installment history.
• Communications: messages or enquiries you send us via email or WhatsApp.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, products viewed, search queries, and time spent on the platform.
• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL.
• Cookies and similar technologies: session tokens to keep you logged in and preference data to improve your experience (see Section 7).

3. How We Use Your Information

• Order fulfilment: to process purchases, coordinate delivery, and send order confirmations and tracking updates.
• Thrift plan management: to create your plan, send installment reminders, notify you when you become eligible for fulfilment, and confirm completed payments.
• Account management: to authenticate you, reset your password, and maintain your profile.
• Vendor operations: to display your listings, process payouts to your bank account, and communicate platform updates.
• Customer support: to respond to your enquiries and resolve disputes.
• Platform improvement: to analyse usage patterns, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Legal compliance: to meet obligations under Nigerian law and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Marketing (optional): to send you product recommendations or promotions — only if you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Vendors: when you place an order, the relevant vendor receives your name, delivery address, and order details to fulfil it.
• Payment processors: Paystack, Flutterwave, and Monnify receive transaction data necessary to process your payment. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle this data.
• Logistics partners: if applicable, delivery companies receive your name and address for shipping purposes.
• Service providers: email delivery, cloud hosting (Supabase), and analytics tools that help us operate the platform. All providers are contractually bound to process your data only as instructed.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information where required by Nigerian law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Order and payment records are kept for a minimum of six (6) years for financial and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see Section 10); some records may be retained where required by law.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. Our infrastructure is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL), a SOC 2-compliant cloud provider. However, no system is completely secure — if you suspect unauthorised access to your account, please contact us immediately.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your cart session — these cannot be turned off, as the site cannot function without them.

With your consent, we also use Google's tagging tools (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site, which sets analytics cookies. This only loads after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit — we do not load it beforehand, and we do not use any third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer, or by disabling cookies in your browser (this will also prevent you from staying logged in or completing a purchase).

8. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
